Claus Raasted is an experience and behavior designer who creates Live Action Role Play (LARP) events, where groups of strangers come together to collaborate on co-creating their shared experience. This is especially relevant when facilitating the design process with groups of people who are not used to working together (such as different divisions, company partners, or even community members).
We discuss how to help a group of collaborators become comfortable enough as a team to co-create something great.

Design Challenge
For teams who are used to working together:
Try a team building activity to help strengthen your team or company culture - write down five things that your group or team interacts, and then talk about it. Examples can include greetings, topics that are taboo, and other interactions.
For teams that are not used to working together:
Your team has to work together to draw an animal, in groups of 4. Three of the team members secretly decide which animal to draw and the fourth has to draw it without knowing in advance what it is. Each person has a role.
Person 1 draws the animal but their eyes are closed and they can't speak.
Person 2 can speak one word at a time.
Person 3 can't speak but can make animal sounds.
Person 4 can't speak but can touch/guide the person who is drawing.
